Sarah Liller is kind of amazing. Positioned at the heart of San Francisco, her collections conjure images that are a little bit beachy California, a little bit whimsical gypsy, a ton of unique attitude, brought together in a slightly modernized retro style that makes me want to wear pumps and look like a girl despite my 9 hour day that includes little to no sitting. Yes, it is that serious. You must check out her fantastically inspiring videos, you will covet like I do I am sure.
Thank you to Jacyn for a pretty fantastic Christmas present, and to Sarah for being the amazing little kiss of brilliance that she is. This Sarah Liller creation is completely my favorite dress…maybe ever. The neckline is cut to flatter, not reveal. The sleeves are ever so slightly sheer with just a bit of volume at the wrist, the waist is high and perfectly positioned to flatter the natural curve, and the length is a totally retro tea length striking me below the knee. I reeeeally want to do a twirl in front of my long mirror. The colors are fantastically striking in the print, and I can’t get over how gorgeous I feel in the fabric.
I rocked it with matte black tights, leopard print pumps, a black cashmere cardi, and a random smattering of gold details. Perfection!
I love this dress, I love her eye, I love her collections, I love her. I’m obsessed, and cannot WAIT for her Spring 2012 collection. LOVE.
