Fashion Friday: Levi’s Semi Curve Jeans Product Review

20111223-085006.jpgMany of you are aware of Levi’s Curve ID line that allows for you to take a simple quiz and find your Curve ID equating to the perfectly fit jean for your body. The line addresses many of the issues that women have with jeans such as constantly hiding your rear end because the cut is too low or there is a gap in the back etc. Levi’s came out strong campaigning “All asses are not created equal” and showcasing the four-fit curve line further proving an age old argument. Consumers take a simple online quiz and discover their curve category:

Slight
Demi
Bold
Supreme

I had to try it out. We have all seen the girl sitting in a chair with her entire thong exposed to the world because her low rise jeans just don’t cover it. Tragically, I have been that girl. I would choose long shirts to ensure coverage but even then, it’s a constant battle resulting in wardrobe malfunction, embarrassment and worse, a lack of confidence. A constant state of consciousness takes away from everything else that’s happening at that moment because all you can think about is if anyone can see your butt. Not fun.

Having taken the quiz previously, I wanted to put the quiz to the test to see how accurate it really is. Levi’s recently had a sale for an extra 30% off of your order so I took advantage of the sale and bought a pair of the Modern Demi-Curve Flare jeans for $33. What a deal- thanks Levi’s!

My fit, according to the quiz, is the demi-curve. Meaning, I have a slightly curved backside. The jeans were only offered with a 32in inseam. I was worried that they may be too short but was pleasantly surprised. I can wear these with my tall heels and not feel like I’m wearing floods. My main concern was how it made my butt look. At first, I felt as if they flattened my butt even further. The fit at the waist was spot on. I can sit comfortably without worry that my panties are showing. They truly fit like a glove with the exception of flattening my butt out. I think the quiz is accurate. The question is, was I honest with myself. Is my butt bigger than I think? Hmmmm. Happy Fashion Friday everyone!
